Straight hair styles and the many different ways to do it.
Straight hair styles have become very fashionable these days and more
so than with some of Hollywoods finest. People like Jennifer Aniston and
Jennifer Lopez have been known to use hair
straighteners to perfect their hairstyles and with the best hair stylists
at their disposal it's no wonder their hair always looks so fantastic.
Luckily for us mere mortals there are now many options available to straighten
our hair.
Here are the main options available for straight hair styles.
Chemical Straightening - Hair salon
This is where chemicals are applied which make your hair straight. These
specialist treatments (Japanese Hair Straightening) can last anything
up to 6 months where other treatments may last around 5-6 weeks. However,
these treatments can cost in the range of $40-$300+ and as fairly strong
chemicals are used can dry and damage your hair.
You can also carry out chemical straightening at home although it is not
advised without first having it done professionally and learing some tips.
Hair Straighteners - At home
Nowadays you can purchase salon
quality hair straighteners off the Internet and get perfect straight
hair styles in minutes. The ones you should look out for have ceramic/tourmaline
plates, as these hold a very high temperature, heat up quickly and are
easy to use. The price varies from $40-$200 and as you can imagine the
quality varies in that price range. Most decent straighteners now have
variable temperature control which is important to match different hair
types. It's always adviseable to use a pre-treatment on your hair which
both protects your hair and conditions at the same time.
My best advice is to spend as many $$$ as you can on a good iron. They
won't let you down and they will last for years.
