My FAQ about the Global Beauty Straightener or GB hair straightener.
Where are they made?
They are made in China by a company called Global
Beauty Network Inc. Setup since 1990 they now have over 15 years of
experience in making hair care products.
Are they good value for money?
In short, yes. My first hair straightener was a Global beauty and it was
well made and never let me down. Given my hair style and the problems
I had and the cost of visiting my salon every few weeks I feel it's well
worth paying for quality and this one certainly is top quality.
Where can I purchase one?
The Global Beauty Straightener can be purchased from a number of places
online. Please visit my feature
page to find out more.
Can I get them in the UK or Europe?
My research into this shows that it's not very easy to get you hands on
one. The problem is that those I have seen for sale online only work on
110V electrical supply. The voltage supply in the UK and Europe is 220V
so the 110V version will not work. So please beware, if you are from the
UK or Europe and you do see them online then make sure and ask the supplier
if it will work in your country.
I've seen a cheap one on eBay, should I buy it?
That's pretty much up to you. However, I am always very wary about purchasing
anything electrical from eBay especially if it is second hand. If you
have your heart set on it then only buy a brand new one and make sure
it comes with a 1 year warranty. Also, if it is being sold brand new at
a ridiculously low price and looks too good to be true then I'd stay well
away.
What does it look like?
This
is the model I purchased and the one that you should have no problem finding
online. It's looks very sleek in the nice black finish. It's also nice
and light.
