A history of the Exceon ceramic straightener and the GB ceramic straightener.
I've put together this article as a result of another article I put together about the Exceon ceramic straightener. I was initially intrigued about Exceon as a friend of mine heard there was a connection between the Exceon and the GB ceramic straightener. The result of my "investigation" showed that the Exceon ceramic straightener is made by the same company as the GB ceramic straightener in China. This spurned me to look a little more into what these companies are about and what other hair care products they manufacture and sell.
Firstly the Exceon ceramic straightener is not something you are likely
to find in the shops under the Exceon brand name. They make the hair straighteners
on behalf of other companies. In fact it's the GB ceramic straightener
which is available online from a number of stores.

Exceon produce OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer)professional beauty
products and they specialize in hair straighteners (flat irons), curling
irons and hair dryers. They manufacturer their goods in China and Korea
where labor costs are low and they pay very stringent when it comes to
high quality control standards. As a result Exceon can produce premium
products at an attractive price. This can only be good for you and
me.
Here's a brief overview of the company history:
- October, 1990: Exceon, Inc. Established
- January, 1991: New Model Exceon Flat Iron
- June 1992: Exported TR iron to Japanese market
- August 1997: Established first factory in China
- 2000 three (3) factories moved to China
Given how manufacturing in China has grown so rapidly you are now more
and more likely to see even more goods tagged with "Made in China"
and "Made in Korea". In the past this may have been associated
with poor products but nowadays this is changing and the Exceon/Global
Beauty range of products are proof of that improved quality.
