Sedu Flat Irons - do's and don't.
If you are using a flat iron for the very first time then I'm sure you'll be excited as I was when I first used mine. Ir-regardless of whether it's one of the latest Sedu flat irons or any other hair straightener there are a number of things you should be aware of. Luckily over the years Sedu Flat Irons like most of the hair straighteners on the market have been designed with a number of safety features you always need to remember that you are still dealing with an eletrical device operating at high temperatures.
Here's some of the key Do's and Don't:
Do
- Clean your flat iron if it gets dust or dirt on the plates. Water is just fine although you may need something stronger, like alcohol, if you allow hair products, like pre-treatments, to build up on the plates.
- Keep your flat iron in the Therma pouch if provided between uses.
- Buy your flat iron from an authorized dealer to ensure full warranty.
- Take your time. There's no rush. He can wait a few minutes longer!
- Experiment with hairstyles when you get more confident with using it. Try adding little flips and curls to add a bit more dimension and give you that salon look.
Don't
- Put the iron anywhere close to skin.
- Place your flat iron in water. If this happens turn off the electrical supply immediately.
- Leave your iron switched on when not in use and close to kids.
- Leave the iron on delicate surfaces.
- Leave the iron new flammable materials.
- Wrap the power cord around the iron until it has fully cooled down.
- Try and juggle 3 irons, especially if they are switched on.
- Over use as it will cause split ends or worse still damage your hair permanently
These do's and don't are mainly based around common sense and as long
as you look after your iron the you will have many years of successful
hair straightening.
